Art, stories, and the shape of a creative life

Why Subscribe

I am a painter and printmaker, and this space is where I share the shape of a creative life - its moments of joy, its pauses, its inevitable stumbles.

Alongside my own work, I feature the work of neglected women artists and illustrators, particularly from the early to mid-20th century whose stories deserve to be told.

There will be sketchbooks opened, marks on paper and the quiet process of printmaking. From time to time, I will share techniques and working notes - and if you have any questions or seek advice, I’m always glad to hear from you.

But creativity isn’t just about the studio. Each posts also gathers together what surrounds it: books discovered and reread, poems, podcasts, the shifting seasons in the garden and beyond - all the threads that make a life.

New posts arrive every other Thursday morning, waiting in your inbox when you subscribe.

I hope you will join me - it would be lovely to have your company.
